EMail Software Setup - Outlook 2003
This page is detailed instructions to assist you in setting up Outlook 2003 to work with the MailEnable Mail server. It only covers the setup for POP3/SMTP mode.
To setup Outlook, you will need to know your email address, mail server name, your username and your password. If you have this information, open Outlook and Click Tools, Email Accounts. That will open a windows that looks like this:

Select View Or Change Existing Email Accounts and click Next. That will open a new window that looks like this:

Click the Change button to get to a window that looks like this:

Fill in this screen using the info supplied to you for your account. If you check the Remember Password button, you won't have to re-enter your password every time you check your email. Be sure the box labeled Logon Using Secure Password Authentication is not checked. When you finish, click the More Settings button. That will change the window to this:

The first field is the name you want to use to refer to this account by. It can be whatever you like. If this is a business email account, enter your company name in Organization. Click the Outgoing Server tab. That window should look like this:

Be sure the box labeled My Outgoing Server Requires Authentication is checked. Also, be sure the Use Same Settings As Incoming Server is selected. If it is, click OK. You can click the Test Setting button, if you like or just click Next then Finish. That's it. You are finished.
